All the dumb, half the smart.

Sarah and I got up this morning to go vote before work. We went to some government office in Redwood City. It was pretty cool because it was just after 8 in the morning so there wasn’t anybody there, no lines, quick and easy. Then we got home, I got in my car to drive to work and the stupid thing wouldn’t start. I turn the key and all I hear are stupid little clicking and buzzing noises. Yay… seriously, yay. Luckily I was able to take Sarah’s car so I wasn’t any later than I already was for going to vote. And before any of you chime in with that “You have a job now, why don’t you buy a new car?” crap, I’ll tell you right now that I can’t. My student loan payments are going to kick in soon and they are not pretty. Besides, I hate car payments. And on top of that, I hate driving.

Sounds like a bad battery.
I agree, it sounds like batteries that I have known, alas. I voted at work, literally ! Precinct 3, Blanco County votes at the PEC auditorium, so at 5PM I locked my computer and walked 20 yards or so, greeted two neighbors who were registering voters and in 5 minutes, finished voting. Please let me know how your Mom’s race goes. Actually, I’ll check her blog and see what it says. I hope the results are happy for her.
ps. I really enjoy reading about life in California from two perspectives. Thanks
Well the race for sheriff is still up in the air… provisional votes. I’ll post when I know something :-)
Finally, the Sheriff’s race is over. We did LOSE by 22 votes. We are disappointed, but also relieved. We can now pursue other plans which we had put on hold to run for Sheriff. Life is so good for us and we are very happy, in spite of losing, that the future is exciting for us. Love you.
It is a dead battery after all. We double-checked it this weekend. Time to go to Walmart. Whooppideedoo!
