I thought it would be funny to play sounds of cats meowing to mess with the kitties. I found this great site, Cat sounds. After about 10 minutes of playing various cat sounds, I was getting a really big kick out of watching them hunt around the office for this batch of kittens that they could hear, but not see. Then I scrolled down a bit more on that site and saw Lion Sounds. I thought, “Oooo… this ought to be funny,” and let this one rip. The cats ran out of here so fast. It was funny. They’re scared of the office now.

Well we finally named our cats. The one on the left, blue kitty, is now known as Boomer. I was going to name him Cylon after the baddies in Battlestar Galactica, but decided the dork factor was a little too high with that so I took the name of another character from that show, who happens to be a cylon.
The one on the right, red kitty, got the name Boris from Sarah. Unfortunately, the root of the name Boris does not originate from Battlestar Galactica. Sarah just likes the name and so do I so all is good.

Ok come on. I need kitty names. This is what I’ve come up with so far, which have been pretty much rejected:

• Gollum and Smeagol. They’re both grey and skinny, and the blue one would be Gollum since he seems the fondest of being bad.
• I would name one of them Cylon, and Sarah can name the other whatever she wants.

We got two kitties today. Since we let them out of the bathroom they’ve hardly stopped running around. I took this “action shot” of one them while it was chasing a toy. It looks like this kittie rode the short bus.

This cat’s name is “Blue kittie.” The other one has a red collar. Can you guess his name? Needless to say, we need some names for them and are taking suggestions in the comments of Sarah’s kittie post.
